The two main ways to win prizes this year are...
Book Logging and Challenges!

BOOK LOGGING:
This works the same way it did last year, more or less. If you're new, that means when you log a book, that entry counts as a ticket in the end-of-summer raffle for a brand new iPad! Think about it: The more books you read and log, the more chances you have to win. Pretty good system, right? We think so too.  And hey, keep checking back, because we might add even more prizes as the summer goes on!

CHALLENGES:
Along with an end-of-summer raffle, we'll also be doing some smaller weekly raffles for $50 Amazon gift cards, and it's super easy to enter! There will be a new question posted every week on Monday, and all you have to do is answer it in 100 words (which is like, a paragraph, and not a very long one either-- this one is around 130) or more. That's it. Just answer whatever we're asking, submit it, and you're automatically entered. At the end of each week, we pull a draw a winner. The only thing is, if you've already won, you can't win again, to make things fair. We're not going to stop you from submitting your answers, though-- we're interested in what you have to say!

2021-03-29 Virtual Program - Why Garden Off The Ground?

Raised bed, straw bale, and container gardening take place above the surface of the soil. There are many advantages to these methods, including accessibility, aesthetic design, pest control, and being able to garden in a small space. The presentation includes an introduction to construction of these types of gardens and consideration about what types of plants to grow.

Presented by Rutgers Master Gardener Pat Donahue. Rutgers Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Cooperative Extension in its mission to deliver horticulture programs and information to the general public. Anyone with an interest in gardening and a commitment to volunteer service can become a Rutgers Master Gardener.

Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County can be found at the E.A.R.T.H. Center, in Davidson's Mill Pond Park and is part of a nationwide network that brings the research of the state land-grant universities to local people.

On the day before the program you will be sent the Zoom meeting information by email. Please note that if you are using Zoom on a tablet or smartphone you will need to download the Zoom app.
