2019 SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Choose Space Adventure!

Monday, June 1 – August 1

Adult Summer Reading is simple! For every book you read and log in the online system, you will receive one entry for the end of summer prize drawings. The more you read, the more chances you have to win. Please give us your best contact information (phone or email). We'll do prize drawings and contact winners – the first to respond gets first choice of prizes. We will send your prize for pickup to any of the SBPL locations (Central, Eastside, Montecito, or Carpinteria). Prizes not claimed within seven days will be forfeited. All prizes will be drawn by August 16.

If you registered without an email and need to reset your password, please contact the library.

2020-02-20 Trail Talks: Hiking Fiordland National Park's Tuatapere Hump Ridge Track in New Zealand - Central

Explore what it is like trekking New Zealand's Humpridge Track with Jody and Doug Thomas.

This is a three day, two night luxury lodge hike in Fiordland National Park in New Zealand. It included sleeping accommodations at two different lodges, hot showers for a fee, and porridge for breakfast each morning. The hike was rated moderate, but we'll let you decide if it should have been rated difficult.

Doug and Jody have been married for nearly 35 years and live in a teeny house in Santa Barbara. We are bee-havers and pretty terrible gardeners and very good grandparents and love to be in the out-of-doors, preferably with each other.
