Fall is here! That means colorful leaves, pumpkins, apple cider, and spooky stories. Celebrate the season with the Great Fall Read Challenge! This October the teen and adult departments are both reading Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Read the book and answer weekly trivia questions for a chance to win some fabulous prizes! Questions will post weekly on Fridays starting October 1. Join the challenge online, read the book, and answer five trivia questions by Monday, November 1. Every correct answer will earn an entry in the Grand Prize drawing. Request a copy of the book today!

Want to have even more spooktacular fun? Check out these events in October!

Come visit the SDL grounds Friday, October 1-Monday, November 1 for a creepy walk through the trees and read excerpts from Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s Frankenstein at various points along the path. The journey will begin at the rock by the northwest entrance.
Please maintain good social distancing along the route. We suggest closed-toe shoes and long pants as you will be on a nature trail.
