The Cora J. Belden Library is excited to present its 2017 teen summer reading program for students in grades 6 - 12, and also 5th grade students attending Griswold Middle School. The theme for teen summer reading in 2017 is 'Build a Better World', and the goal is to read, read, read, and get cool prizes!
Participants can register online beginning June 21st until September 8th. It only takes a few minutes to sign up! Just click the 'Join here' link to register.
Participants in the teen summer reading program will track their reading progress in the number of minutes read, NOT the number of books / items they have read. Students can read a number of different things during the summer and count it toward their reading total, including books, e-books, magazines, graphic novels, comic books, manga, blogs, instructions, recipes, even audio books (please do not count social media and text messaging).
The prizes for reading are as follows:

300 minutes = 5 hours
Level 2—600 Minutes Read
600 minutes = 10 hours

Level 3—900 Minutes Read
