Our Summer Reading Program theme this year is Build a Better World!  We will explore how we can build better communities, be kind to ourselves, and build connections in our world.


This program is for children who are reading comfortably on their own, or who read with a grown-up, who would be excited to earn beads for their "brag tag" (a chain necklace).

We do offer a different Early Literacy program for children birth through age 3 or 4.  Contact the library for more information!

School is back in session, and that means Kodiak and Echo are back, too!

Sign up to read to our very special “read” dogs!

Kodiak and Echo are Bernese Mountain dogs, trained to sit with children

and listen to them read. This kind of support from lovable puppies can foster

your child’s self-confidence, build reading skills, and it’s just plain fun!

2017-10-20 Mon, Oct 23, 2017 -- Young Scientists - presented by the YMCA Family Community Partnership at 1:30 PM

In this free 6-week workshop, children will learn

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)

concepts through hands-on activities, storytime, challenges

and simple experiments.

Registration is required. Register once for the entire 6-week workshop. For children ages 3 - 5 with their caregiver (siblings are welcome).

Please note: there is no waiting list for this program however we will take names of those waiting to get in right before the start of class.

Any registered patron more than 10 minutes lates will forfeit their slot for that particular day. Thank you for your understanding.

Record, illustrate and create your own digital

story! We will be learning digital skills through

open source software Audacity, parsing out our

illustrations with mixed media, and working together

to build a final product that will be unveiled during a mini-release party for family and friends. For kids

in grades 3 -5. Registration is required and is for all sessions.
