2018-06-22 Drop-in Lego Building Session

When: Wednesday, June 27, 2018 - 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Where: Children's Quiet Reading Area

We'll have our legos out for free-play for ages 5 and up in our quiet reading area. Parents bringing younger siblings need to be vigilant with their little ones to prevent choking. No registration is required.


2018-06-22 Lapsit Storytime for Pre-Walkers

When: Thursday, June 28, 2018 - 10:00 AM - 10:40 AM
Where: Children's Quiet Reading Area

Lapsit is a quiet low key group experience designed specifically for pre-walkers with their parents & caregivers. Introduce baby to the library as you enjoy songs, rhymes, puppets, and a story together. Social time before & after gives adults an opportunity to connect with others caring for infants while getting babies accustomed to being around other babies.


2018-06-22 Table-Top Games & Chess for kids

When: Friday, June 29, 2018 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: Children's Quiet Reading Area

Kids, Tweens, and Teens ages 6 and up are invited to come play chess. If you haven't played before, we will teach you! Planning, confidence, patience and discipline are all benefits of playing chess. We just think it's fun! No registration required.


2018-06-22 Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda Book Discussion

When: Saturday, June 30, 2018 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Community Room

We will be discussing the award winning book Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, which the movie Love, Simon was based off of. There will be copies of the book available at the library for check out. We will also be meeting again in July 2018 to watch the movie at the library! This book discussion will be for high school and college students.

2018-06-22 River Critters with NJ Watershed Ambassador Amber Mallm

When: Monday, July 2, 2018 - 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM

Join the Monmouth AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador as we investigate the critters that live in our streams.
Kids will learn about the importance of biodiversity in a stream ecosystem as we identify different bugs & play "Benthic Macroinvertebrate BINGO." Kids will get the chance to interact with live bugs!
