Nature Nick Animal Adventures 2017 show theme is “Build a Better World.” Nature Nick will introduce you to some of the strangest animals on earth while giving little known facts about each one. See how every animal in nature has a role which in turn helps us build a better world!


2017-07-28 Chess

When: Friday, July 28, 2017 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: Children's Quiet Reading Area

Kids, Tweens, and Teens ages 6 and up are invited to come play chess. If you haven't played before, we will teach you! Planning, confidence, patience and discipline are all benefits of playing chess. We just think it's fun! No registration required.


2017-07-28 Creative Writing

When: Monday, July 31, 2017 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: NJ History Room

Do you like writing? We have a fun writing exercise at the beginning of each meeting to get your creativity flowing, and then we will either work on and share personal writing projects or decide on a topic to write about for the day. Improve your writing skills and have fun. We encourage all types of writing in the club: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenplays, plays, or anything else that interests you. For teens in grades 6-12.


2017-07-28 Lapsit Storytime for Pre-Walkers

When: Tuesday, August 1, 2017 - 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Where: Children's Quiet Reading Area

Introduce your baby to the library during this gentle lapsit program for pre-walkers accompanied by a grown-up. Rhymes, songs, puppets, and picture books encourage language development. Grown-ups get to socialize with other adults & babies get used to be around other babies.


2017-07-28 TinkerCad 3D Design Workshop

When: Tuesday, August 1, 2017 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: Computer Lab

Learn how to design your own 3D object using TinkerCad. By the end of the 5 class workshop, you will have created your own design for the 3D printer. Submit your designs at the end of the last class, and the library will create your design using our 3D printer! For teens and tweens ages 11-15.
