This sign up is good for the month of October (there will be no tutoring on Halloween). Tutoring is for students in grades K-12 only. **You must give notice if you are not going to make a tutoring session. If you have two unexcused absences, you will be removed from the tutoring registration list. This is a very popular program and many students wish to be tutored. 2017-10-17 Read to a Dog & Reading Buddies for Younger Siblings

When: Wednesday, October 18, 2017 - 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM
Where: Children's Quiet Reading Area

This program provides a relaxed,“dog-friendly” atmosphere which allows students to practice the skill of reading.
By sitting down next to a dog and reading aloud, all threats of being judged are put aside. Children relax, pat the attentive dog, and focus on their reading. Reading improves because the child is practicing the skill of reading, building self-esteem, and associating reading with something pleasant.
Read To A Dog is a great way to improve literacy.
Children will read to a dog for five minutes.
This program is for independent readers only-grades K-5. There will be teen reading buddies for younger siblings as well as for the K-5 set to practice with prior to their "dog time."

This program meets monthly on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm and the third Wednesday of every month at 4pm.
Registration is required
