Imagine Your Story at the Library this summer by exploring collections of folklore. Each time you complete a “volume of stories” by reading 1000 pages of your choice, bring your Folklore Journal into the Library for a small reward.  There will not be a “sign up” prize this year and the number of prizes has been reduced, but we think they’re ones that you’ll like.

You can earn extra page points by completing “Further Research.” Each activity may be used only once, but you can do any of them at any point along the way.

Readers may only participate in the summer reading program once.

Prizes will be awarded according to this schedule:

  • June 8 -- Summer Reading 2020 BEGINS!
  • June 22 --  Reading Goal Prize 1 available (1000 pages)
  • July 6 -- Reading Goal Prize 2 available (2000 pages)
  • July 20 -- Reading Goal Prize 3 available (3000 pages)
  • July 25 -- Last day to sign up for Summer Reading 2020
  • August 1 -- Summer Reading Ends

You can read ahead of schedule, but prizes won’t be available until their release date. If you miss a week, you can collect it the next time.

For example, if you come in July 6, and haven’t received any prizes yet, you can pick up prize number 1 and 2.  If you’ve read past that point, and are ready for prize 3, you’ll have to wait until July 20 to get that next prize.

Don't worry if you miss a prize! Come to the library when you are available and collect your prize for the previous weeks.

Program may not be repeated!

Only 1 set of prizes per person per summer while supplies last.

NO PRIZES will be given after Saturday, August 1, 2020.
