Join Program

Enter your grade to join the program 2020 Youth Summer Reading Challenge (Birth - 5th Grade).

Welcome Summer Readers!  The Flat Rock Public Library is so excited that Summer Reading is here! It is a little different this year but we will still have lots of fun!

The 2020 Summer Reading program, Imagine Your Story, will be offered from June 15 thru August 15.  Youth, from Birth thru 5th Grade (grade going into this fall) are invited to participate.  Youth may register for the Youth program and log  the minutes they read over the summer.  There are paper logs available also, if that is what you prefer.

What counts towards your reading minutes?  Reading to your brother or sister, another person or animal, reading a magazine, book, or eBook, listening to an audio book, Vox books, and  having someone read to you all count toward your minutes.

There are challenges online, also, throughout the summer that you may conquer.

The Directions:

Enter your amount of hours/minutes that you read throughout the summer. For every 5 hours/300 minutes that you read you will earn a Grand Prize Raffle Ticket.  You may put your Grand Prize Raffle ticket in any one of the three Grand Prize Drawings.

How will the ticket get put into the drawing?   Good question!   When you earn a raffle ticket, you can contact the library and let one of the staff know which drawing to put your raffle ticket in.   The Grand Prize Drawings will be held  on Monday, August 17.  The winners will be called and posted on the library's website.

You may write as many book reviews as you like.  To see your book review and the other participants book reviews, click on
