Are you ready to build a better world? You can read and record from June 21-August 12. Log into Wandoo Reader, choose an avatar, and then read and record books to earn points and level up! When registering your child, please note that the Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty levels are roughly related to K-1st / 2nd-3rd grade / 4th- 5th grade, respectively. 

NEW THIS YEAR: Parents can link all their children's Wandoo accounts together for easier access.
1. Register each of your children for Build a Better World or Jr. Reading Program using a unique user name and password. 
2. Go to the Wandoo Login page and click "Enter Family Management Portal." A "Login" window will pop-up. Click "Join Here" at the top of the page.  Enter Parent's name, email, and password. 
3. Upon registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the parent's email. The parent needs to confirm his/her account via the link in the confirmation email.
4. Children that have been previously registered in Wandoo with the parent's email address will be automatically linked to the parent's account for easy management. One login to access and update all registered children! 

Every 200 minutes you read and record earns you a raffle ticket, Wandoo points for your avatar, and advancement to the next level on the Library's Building Boulevard! 

Ready for more? Complete 2 special challenges in Wandoo Reader each week to unlock extra powers for your Avatar. Visit the library for fun daily activities including: Seek the Statue, Construction Zone, Imagination Station, and the Wrecking Ball!

Governor's Reading Challenge


2017-09-20 Book Babies

When: Wednesday, September 20, 2017 - 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Where: Fairfield Public Library

Book Babies, 0-18 Months
Songs, music, books, and social play for babies, ages 0-18 months, and their parent or caregiver. No class November 20 and 22.
Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am

This class is drop-in; however, due to limited space, tickets will be distributed 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.

2017-09-20 Stories Alive for 4s & 5s!

When: Wednesday, September 20, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM
Where: Fairfield Public Library

Through stories, music,activities and more, this weekly class helps to develop both the motor and social skills necessary for kindergarten readiness. Children attend independently, but parent or caregiver must remain in Children’s Room. Please come for either Wednesdays or Thursdays

2017-09-20 Toddler Time

LOCATION: CHILDREN'S PROGRAM ROOM: Songs, nursery rhymes, and activities for children ages 18-36 months, and their parent or caregiver. Drop-in program.


2017-09-20 Harold and the Purple Party & Book Giveaway

When: Thursday, September 21, 2017 - 2:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Where: Fairfield Public Library

Join us for a celebration of the much-loved children’s literature classic Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson. We will share the story, play games and see where our imaginations take us! Each participant will receive a hardcover copy of the book. For children ages 3-7 and their caregivers.

Registration is limited to 175 readers and begins September 5, 2017. Register in-person, online or by calling the Library.

When: Friday, September 22, 2017 - 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Fairfield Woods Branch Library

Stop in after a scheduled drop-in story time for babies or toddlers and then stay, play, meet and socialize with other parents/caregivers and children. Drop-in.
