Welcome to the Teen Winter Reading Program for the Burlington Public Library! (Yes, this is for 2018!) This program is for students in 6th -12th grade. If you are in Kindergarten - 5th grade, please come to the library to sign up for the Kids Winter Reading Program. The program runs from January 2 - February 22. Winners will be announced at Teen Lounge on Friday, February 23.
There are two parts to this program. The first is very simple - log any time that you spend reading here! It can be a book (for school or for fun), a magazine, an audio book, fan fiction or graphic novel - it all counts. For every two hours (120 minutes) you spend reading, you earn one raffle ticket. Raffle tickets go towards our winter reading prizes on display in the young adult area.
The second part of the Winter Reading program are the challenges. These challenges won't earn you any raffle tickets but they could make Nicole dip dye her hair a neon color. If at least 50% of the total number of challenges are completed, you can vote for what color you think Nicole should dye the end of her hair. It's that simple. Complete as many or as few of the challenges as you like.
