Welcome to Buchanan District
Library's Youth Summer Reading Program. This program is for children through 17 years old.
You are invited to Imagine Your Story this summer with the Buchanan District Library! This year our Summer Reading Program will be conducted online.
You can log your reading using Wandoo Reader or on paper. If you want to participate but don’t have transportation to the library, please contact Director Meg Paulette at 269-695-3681 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you're tracking using paper, pick up reading logs at the library. One sticker or colored-in circle equals one hour read. We are now open to the public. Turn in your reading logs and pick out your prizes at the library!
Starting June 15th, tickets will be awarded for every 60 minutes read and for completing challenges. Tickets are redeemable for prizes. Redeem them each week or save them up for a bigger prize! Last day to log progress is July 31st. Last day to redeem tickets will be August 15th.
Awards for 1st , 2nd, 3rd place, and Top Reader will be presented in each age category:
Read to Me 0-4 years old
Love Reading 5-8 years old
Young Readers 9-12 years old
Reader’s Club 13-17 years old
Contact Sarah at 269-695-3681 or email@example.com or see www.buchananlibrary.org for more information.
You can set your own personal reading goal for the entire 7 weeks. We also have set a Community Reading Goal of 100,000 minutes for the 7 week program. Everyone's reading counts towards the Community Goal. Help us make our goal!
Also we will have children's activity bags available for pickup on Fridays between June 15 and July 31. Bags will include a make-and-take craft, activity pages, and small items
such as crayons, chalk, bubbles, etc. Something different every week!
Activities will be appropriate for children 12 and under. Register to receive activity bags here: https://forms.gle/xG2tztxrnRjkE28a6 (signing up for Summer Reading does not automatically sign you up for activity bags).
NOTE: If you have more than one family member, you can link accounts by clicking the "Enter Family Management Portal" button. This allows you to add, register, and manage your whole family's accounts in one place. Each child will need an account, but you can easily log in to each account without entering each username and password again. Parents, you can join our Adult Summer Reading Program and earn free books!
