If you log from home, you will need to continue logging each individual book title

One issue we are experiencing is that our new reading tracker program is unable to log multiple quantities of books at one time, which is how library staff needs to do it for families keeping track with a paper log.  In order for staff to log 100 books at a time (a full paper log), we have to log a book as a ‘page’ in the system.  So, we are asking parents to log 1 page and write the title of the book (just know that a page means a book to us).  It is a work-around to make it able for us to log a whole sheet (100 books) at the library.

If you have any questions, please e-mail Wendy at children@barringtonlibrary.com or call at 664-9715. Thank you

Register Now! HOW CAN I READ 1000 BOOKS? It’s easy! One book a day for three years = 1095. Three books a day for one year = 1095. Ten books a week for two years = 1040

If you are new to online registration for a reading program, please use your child's first and last name (no spaces) as the username when you register. We have found this is an easy way to remember. Please choose a password that is easy to remember as library staff cannot confirm a password if you forget. We are able to change a password for you, so let us know if you cannot get into your account. :)

Each time you read a book, log it (if you repeat books, they count, log it!). If your child hears a story with someone else, log it. When you finish reading the FIRST 100 books you will get a message to come back to the library to receive a special canvas book bag, provided by the Friends of the Library, for your child (while supplies last! After each additional goal of 100 books your child will be able to come in and choose a small prize from the box. Once you have completed the challenge of 1000 BOOKS, your child can pick a free book from our bins of donated books at the library.
